The brakeless, leash-equipped version of the Backland Summit 9, for tourers who would rather save weight than carry brakes. It keeps the adjustable release from 4 to 9 and the AutoFlex heel spring that moves with the ski as it flexes, and it weighs around 315 g a side. A quick-release leash holds on to the ski in a fall, and the climbing aid has several settings.
