A light boot for backcountry touring and newer skimo racers, at about 1000 g per boot. Its carbon-reinforced Pebax Rnew shell and cuff trim weight, resist the cold and flex progressively, and the Swing-Lock closure locks out fast for the descent. Three forward lean positions, a heat-moldable liner and a Grip Guard sole for scrambling along ridgelines make it versatile, and it's compatible with Tech, AT and TR2 bindings.
